Clare's Pregnant
Yes!  The baby is due in early February (2006!).

And we still haven't sorted out a dedicated page for the big event - that will probably happen now that the nights are drawing in and there's less biking to be done!

Clare is blossoming in the middle part of the pregnancy.  The bump seems to grow almost by the hour but other than occasional minor discomfort Mum is doing well.

We had a 20 week scan which proved to be a lot more exciting than the one at 9 weeks!  There's definitely a small person in there - the midwife was trying to get various key measurements during the scan but the baby wouldn't co-operate, stubbornly holding its arm in the wrong place - a sign of things to come we fear!  Despite this we did get a measurement for the femur length which was above average - signs of a cycling career perhaps?

Baby things have started to take over the nursery room with many generous hand-me-downs from friends and relatives as well as some new bits of clothing after Clare and Cilla went on a shopping spree in Leeds.

Clare has found a couple of good Yoga classes for pregnant women in the local area (one just in Hebden).  We also went to an evening with an independent midwife and met other local couples at similar stages of gestation.  Clare's delighted to be meeting some comrades in pregnancy and we're sure these contacts will be useful in the next few months.
