With Autumn fast approaching we had some lovely walks in the woods and hills of the Calder valley, right outside our front door. Angus is much stronger now and can happily sit in the back-pack for an hour or so which means our range has extended when time permits. The big event of the month was visiting Mary & Clifford in Jersey. We flew from Manchester & Angus quickly acquitted himself as an accomplished air traveller. Whilst there, Clifford was a host par excellence, trying to kill us through over-consumption of cheese and wine. We were delighted to be able to catch up with my cousin, Piers who was killing some time on the island prior to the winter holiday season starting again in Sauze. We visited the zoo and on a lovely sunny afternoon, Angus made his first trip to the beach. A sand castle was built, sand was eaten (yes, it goes straight through) and much excitement at the waves. All too soon the holiday was over and on our return, I had to make another trip to the US on business - during which time, Angus and Clare made their first trip to the supermarket (Tesco's delivery is our normal source of all things supermarket), riding in the trolley though is something that internet shopping simply can't offer!
